NMFS has a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Weather
Service for the broadcast of unanticipated and time-critical
fishery regulatory actions where there is minimal opportunity
for advance public notice. These broadcasts are provided
on a short-term basis (typically 4-5 days), 24 hours a
day, by selected NWR coastal stations.
