NOAA Weather Radio (NWR):
NMFS has a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Weather Service for the broadcast of unanticipated and time-critical fishery regulatory actions where there is minimal opportunity for advance public notice. These broadcasts are provided on a short-term basis (typically 4-5 days), 24 hours a day, by selected NWR coastal stations.
