The Constituency Services Branch is responsible for administering the Region's vessel/dealer permit programs and obtaining approval for new or modified information collection programs. They prepare applications and instructions for obtaining federal fishing permits.  The branch is also responsible for managing the Region's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, records management and preparation of administrative records, and education and community outreach programs.

To obtain information and applications for fishing vessel permits for Atlantic tunas, or for Charter/Headboat permits for Atlantic Highly Migratory Species (tunas, swordfish, billfish, sharks), please visit https://hmspermits.noaa.gov/Default.asp. Commercial shark and swordfish vessel permits are issued by the Southeast Regional Office, and information on these permits is available by clicking on the "Instructions for Vessel Permits" link above.
